About Greater Louisville

THE GREATER LOUISVILLE SIERRA CLUB is a community grassroots organization that strives to inform its members, the public and decision makers on environmental, natural resource, and land use issues. The Sierra Club will work aggressively and effectively for clean air and water and the preservation of habitat for all species including human beings. We do this because we believe in the intrinsic value of all living things and the need to ensure sustainability for future generations.

Learn how to hike, canoe, and backpack. Help step up our efforts to make our area healthier, and friendly for people as well as all the rest of nature's creatures.

We appreciate help from folks with: organizational skills, networking contacts, action attitudes, fundraising skills and ideas, political savvy, hiking experience, no hiking experience, letter writing ability, publicity know-how, and desktop publishing skills.

In return we offer the gratification of helping our world become ecologically sustainable, and of working with other people with like interests.
